Role: Project Engineer

Location: Georgetown, KY

Reason for request:

Requesting position to replace VWF team member who was hired full time into another department.

Job Description:

o Create quality Die Face surface using Catia V5.

o Confirm style design by CAE analysis to ensure panel formability and accuracy.

o Function as tryout leader during initial panel confirmation and correlate to virtual expectation. Assist in countermeasure development for downstream activities as needed.

o Execute individual assignments to support department hoshin activities.

o Develop/ Implement cost reduction kaizens to support die cost reduction targets.

o Continuous improvement of processes through reflection activity from previous projects.

Additional Desired qualifications:

o Autoform CAE R6 or above

o Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or 4 years equivalent engineering experience.

o Automotive Manufacturing Experience

Travel related notes:

o 10% maximum (USA only)

o Travel would be once every two months

o When travelled to a different location there would be hands on working (equipment trials and buy off)

o First travel would within 6 months from start

o There would be software training on CATIA (option to attend in-person in Michigan) so if they go Toyota will cover expenses. It will happen in first month of start – 5 business days)

o No travel more than 2 weeks at a stretch

RM Notes:

o The group is Stamping group.

o 8-5 job and OT – yes: Probably average 10 hours

o Hybrid: 1st 3 months its 100% onsite and hybrid of 20% in the office.

o Die face experience and Catia V5 experience would be a great deal to have.

o Stamping sheet material experience

o Aeronautical Engineers, Metalogical Engineers also would work

o Bonus: CAE R6 or above, automotive manufacturing experience

o Internet connection has to be good while working remotely.

o Interviews: 2 rounds, 1st round would be 60 minutes.

o Onsite start: January 9th

Required:

o Stamping sheet metal experience (Surface CAD, Die Design, Tool and Die, Metallurgical)

o Catia V5 - Preferrably surfacing experience

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o Microsoft Suite skills: Excel, Power point.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
