Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop capital requests for projects, including establishing a budget, project timelines, risks, execution strategies, developing ROI analysis, etc.
- Oversee and facilitate ongoing projects throughout the various stages of the project lifecycle: Initiation, Planning, Execution, and Closing.
- Coordinate activities of both internal (maintenance) and external (contractors) resources to complete tasks by project-derived goals.
- Ensure project compliance with key stakeholders and GMP including safety, quality, etc.
- Monitor and report ongoing project progress, including spending and adherence to project schedule.
- Oversee the transition process and after a project hand it off to operations. Training completed, maintenance knowledge, safety procedures / SOPs developed, LOTO, etc.
- Assist with developing Engineering department sops and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- Previous experience in project management.
- Effective communicator across various functional teams (purchasing, operations, maintenance, quality, etc.).
- Good mechanical aptitude to understand specifications, drawings, machinery function, etc.
- Fundamental math and accounting skills.
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to prioritize schedule and manage daily tasks effectively.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AutoCAD, and MS project.
- The candidate must be in good physical condition and be able to sit/stand for long periods, bend, reach, stretch, and lift #50.
- Experience – Ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in completing technical projects.
Highly Desirable Skills:
- Manufacturing experience
- Bilingual
- Projects related to automation or expansions
Education requirement:
- A four-year degree is required. The preferred candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering related discipline (industrial, manufacturing, packaging, etc.) and/or have relevant skills or a degree in project management.
Work Environment:
- The work environment is a combination of corporate and manufacturing. While performing this job's duties, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and humid conditions. The employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperatures, risks of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Normal Work Schedule:
- Availability to perform weekend / off-hours project work as needed.
