A day in the life of the Project Manager - Implementations may include:

  • Managing and leading the implementation process for assigned accounts within defined timelines.
  • Acting as main point of contact for the client, providing consultancy and expertise throughout the implementation process.
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project plans for each implementation.
  • Leading weekly virtual project meetings with the client, producing agendas and follow-up call notes.
  • Liaison with vendors/suppliers as necessary on behalf of the client relative to the implementation of client preferred relationships or programs.
  • Ensuring the implementation project remains on track, all tasks completed within deadline.
  • Drafting the scope of work outlining custom implementation deliverables.
  • Identifying issues that could delay the implementation process; understanding and pre-empting potential risks and mitigating unexpected issues that arise.
  • Identifying the scope creep and addressing accordingly.
  • Delivering on all details of the implementation, coordinating with various department stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Recommending resources and solutions based on client requirements and requests.
  • Actively participating in internal implementation meetings to discuss project statuses, problem resolutions, client feedback, and coordination of internal resources.
  • Successfully managing multiple/simultaneous implementations by ensuring project timelines are met and client/team member issues addressed.
  • Building new accounts in internal account management system (AMP); updating accordingly throughout the implementation.
  • Supporting multi-national and global implementations in coordination with in-country affiliations and resources; advocating on behalf of Fox clients when working with multi-national partners.
  • Conducting in-person and virtual client launch sessions to acclimate travelers, coordinators/arrangers, and administrators to new technology and processes; online booking tool training.
  • Conducting post-implementation handover meetings with client to Client Solutions Manager.
  • Leading project management tasks on cross functional projects supported by the PMO.
  • Updating knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Maintaining a favorable and collaborative working relationship with team members in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Driving standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively fostering a culture of engagement.
  • Enhancing the organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Being innovative and recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of operations and services performed.
  • Other duties, projects and alternate assignments as determined by business need.

This opportunity might be for you if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years client-facing travel/project management/client management experience is preferred.
  • An understanding of corporate/business travel management practices.
  • Strong project management and analytical skills; can manage workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Successful experience working directly with clients to resolve complex implementation issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain an effective follow up system to ensure timely and accurate handling of information requests.
  • The ability to initiate and build positive relationships with all levels, both internally and externally.
  • The ability to communicate with confidence and create a credible impression to clients, both written and verbal (one-on-one, small groups, and to large audiences).
  • The capability to deliver clear, compelling presentations to all levels within an organization. Effectively manage group interaction throughout the presentation.
  • Understanding of travel technology and travel management operations. Experience with online booking tools and agency mid/back office systems strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Aptitude to identify operating challenges/roadblocks and quickly apply tactical solutions as well as contributing to fundamental/strategic changes.
  • Ability to drive change and influence in the face of possible resistance.
  • Effective time-management skills and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and establish work priorities.
  • Advanced working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, along with strong technical skills.
  • Self-motivation; demonstrate initiative with a strong commitment to personal goals, objectives and work ethic.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the client.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to client locations throughout the United States; occasional overnight travel may be required.
