LifePoint Health has an opportunity for a Project Manager - Remote. The Project Manager will manage the rollout of unwarranted clinical variation and improve the overall quality of care at LifePoint hospitals. This position will work closely with the Lead Project Manager to achieve the goals of this initiative. This position will manage the work of multiple implementation teams which will provide process and performance improvements at LifePoint hospitals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Establish plans to communicate project goals, deliverables, status, and issues to hospital leadership and implementation teams through the engagement process.
  • Identify key project risks and work with implementation teams and program leadership to appropriately disposition those risks.
  • Identify project stakeholders for each engagement and determine any unique communications requirements.
  • Develop schedules for each implementation which include key milestones and critical activities.
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of multiple implementation teams.
  • Track and escalate (if necessary) issues to program leadership.
  • Report progress updates and status on a recurring basis with program management.
  • Collaborate with peers and program leadership to develop standard reporting and tools for the ongoing management of this program.
  • Conduct lessons learned sessions with each implementation team and hospital personnel at the end of every engagement.
  • Ability to recognize and resolve conflicts.
  • Appropriate business acumen and understanding of key financial metrics.
  • Understanding the projects key quality measurements and ability to relate project objectives to those measures.
  • Rigorously manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters.

The position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors.

Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.

Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA) standards. Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

General understanding of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and integration concepts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: Two years of project management experience managing fast-paced, complex projects is required.

Certifications: PMP Certification is preferred.

Remote. Overnight travel (up to 50%) by land and/or air may be needed.
