Proofreader

Position

We are seeking an experienced proofreader for our graphic design agency located in downtown Boston. The ideal candidate will have several years’ experience as a professional proofreader, preferably in an agency setting. A keen eye for detail, strong command of the English language and a passion for generating error-free work are essential. Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (English, Communications, Journalism, etc.)

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a proofreader, copyeditor or copywriter

- Extensive knowledge of the English language (grammar, spelling, punctuation, usage, etc.) and familiarity with working within brand/style guidelines

- Knowledge of graphic design production processes, keen attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential

- Prior experience working within the financial services, insurance and/or banking industries is preferred

- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook

- Proficient within the Mac OS environment

- Proficient Adobe Acrobat

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment on a variety of projects during a given day

- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Ability to work on-site, full-time from our downtown Boston location during the initial training period. A hybrid work schedule would be available once onboarding was complete.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
