Delta Star provides power solutions for utilities across North America. This includes the manufacturing of medium-power transformers, mobile transformers, mobile electrical substations, trailers, and unitized substations. We offer power transformers for utility applications including power and distribution, transmission voltages, system ties, and automatic voltage regulations, as well as industrial applications. Delta Star also provides comprehensive engineering, testing, maintenance services, and parts for any transformer manufacturer through our Field Service business unit, ensuring our customer's transformers and mobiles maintain peak performance.

Purpose

The Proposal Analyst develops proposals, bids, quotations, RFP responses, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective or existing clients. Collaborates and coordinates with internal contributors and subject matter experts to ensure content is complete, accurate, and maximizes business opportunities.

Main Responsibilities

• Receives customer RFQs/RFPs including transformer specifications; and is responsible for assessing the requirements, gathering information, and preparing quotation documents.
• Receives new purchase orders and prepares each project for handoff to Project Administration, Engineering, and Operations.
• Ensures quotation responses and acceptance of orders follow company policy while addressing customer needs.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Maintains detailed records relating to RFQs and new Purchase Orders; enters into ERP system.
• Gathers inputs from multiple departments within set deadlines.
• Compiles costs and enters into ERP system for approval.
• Manage all aspects of proposal creation, including response, format, editing, to meet proposal deadlines.
• Highlights unusual requirements for management.
• Corresponds with outside sales agencies and/or customers about technical and commercial items to ensure quality output.
• Validates new purchase orders by ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policy.

Education & Experience

• 4-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in Contracts, Customer Service, or Sales, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• General understanding of terms and conditions.
• Requires excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, ERP systems)
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
• Must possess strong organization skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail and reading comprehension skills.
• Ability to learn and understand basic technical and engineering tenets of the transformer industry.
• Must be able to relate to others and work well within both the department team and corporate team structures to accomplish goals.
• Ability to worth both independently and collaboratively.
• Outstanding listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
