C24 Protective Intelligence Center: Protective Intelligence Analyst
(Remote)

Responsibilities & Expectations

Crisis24’s Protective Intelligence Center (PIC) has a simple but critical mission: following the operational ethos of "Protecting the Protector”, we aim to proactively identify, assess and mitigate threats and hazards to Crisis24 Protectors, Analysts, and their respective Principals and client enterprises. Protective Intelligence Analysts leverage advanced technology, OSINT, HUMINT, and internal subject matter experts to provide timely, accurate and actionable intelligence.

As a Protective Intelligence Analyst, you will proactively identify, track, and assess known and emerging risks, provide incident response & triage, travel risk support, security assessments, online research and investigations. You will monitor a wide variety of threat vectors including geopolitical events, civil unrest, natural hazards, crime, terrorism, cyber-kinetic events, COVID-19 trends, vector borne diseases, and other health concerns. You will also receive training on investigative and threat assessment techniques and best practices in furtherance of the PIC’s protective mission.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; A degree focused on Intelligence Studies, Political Science, International Relations, or National Security is a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, sound judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and an aptitude for rapidly assimilating new information.
  • Demonstrated interest in supporting physical security operations.
  • Aptitude for clear and effective written and verbal communications under time-sensitive conditions.
  • Ability to assess information quickly and accurately for credibility, relevance, and importance.
  • Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, work independently, and complete objectives in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Schedule flexibility and the ability to work night and weekend shifts.
  • Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Desired Qualifications

  • Three or more years of experience in a protective intelligence or similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Working or greater knowledge of mapping technologies such as Google Maps and ArcGIS.
  • Working or greater knowledge of commonly used intelligence platforms and resources.
  • Broad geopolitical awareness, knowledge of global events, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Familiarity with news reporting sources, social media channels, and other channels for real-time monitoring of current events.
  • Ability to assimilate and effectively leverage new technologies.
  • Experience with manual Boolean queries or advanced OSINT techniques.
  • Working knowledge of basic IT troubleshooting.
Additional Duties & Functions

Operational Support & Critical Event Monitoring
  • Systematically monitor open sources, internal systems, and other channels for known, emerging, and potential risks.
  • Serve as central clearinghouse of information for incidents affecting the safety and security of our assets.
  • Help develop and implement critical event response plans.
  • Provide active tracking and geofencing as part of larger protective operations.
  • Conduct route analysis and provide secure transportation support.
  • Incident support intake & triage.

Protective Intelligence & Risk Assessment
  • Research, assess, and report on risks associated with Principal travel and/or locations of interest.
  • Draft daily briefs for Protective Details covering all pertinent known threat vectors and hazards for a given area of operation.
  • Systematically monitor open sources, security systems, and other channels for known, emerging, and potential risks to assets.
  • Conduct online vulnerability assessments, deepweb/darkweb scans and online monitoring into persons of interest.
  • Conduct threat assessments into known pursuers and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to determine best risk management strategies.
Program Development & Administration
  • Identify, communicate, and help implement improvements to procedures, capabilities, and resources.
  • Build SOPs, templates, and training to support new and existing operations.
  • Help assess intelligence platforms and other technologies for possible onboarding.
  • On request, provide metrics and other information to support internal reporting and accountability.
  • Carefully track and input time spent on various tasks and projects.
