Overview: BSA is the fourth largest employer in Amarillo, TX, with a medical staff of more than 450 physicians and about 3,400 employees. BSA is an extensive health system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. Acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service, BSA Health System is comprised of BSA Hospital, Physicians Surgical Hospitals, Harrington Cancer Center, BSA Physicians Group and specialty clinics.

Our health system is part of a larger organization, Nashville-based Ardent Health Services. Ardent Health Services includes 30 hospitals and more than 200 sites of care.

We have an exciting opportunity to join BSA as a Provider Relations Liaison.
Responsibilities: Primary Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing, improving, maintaining and coordinating relationships with community providers.

  • Promotes specific service lines and specialties to potential and existing clients, such as referring physicians, patients and others.
  • Ensures that providers are effectively informed and educated regarding BSA Health System and all specialty services.
  • Collaborates with BSA departments, other operating departments regarding services, activities.
  • Tracks activities, engagement and metrics to establish ROI.
  • Provides input to department directors and assists with the development and implementation of provider relation goals for the assigned facility.
  • Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications: Qualifications:

Education and Experience*

Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study. Relevant experience may be substituted for education in accordance to policy.

  • Professional sales or account management experience.
  • Four (4) years business development, physician relations or professional sales /account management experience - preferably in healthcare or related industry.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the healthcare environment and current economic trends and challenges for healthcare systems.

  • Must be able to quickly understand the scope and types of services that the organization provides.
  • Skills in gathering and analyzing data, research and preparing reports, and presenting well thought out recommendations and justifications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Must possess excellent public relations skills.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and various details of the position.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
