About the Role:
In 2021, CrowdStrike acquired Falcon LogScale – a technology that is changing the way people think about log management and systems observability empowering DevOps, IT Ops, Security and more. This acquisition brought together two curious, driven, passionate teams of people that are the best at what they do. As a PS Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the technical relationship through the deployment and implementation of Falcon LogScale. You’ll focus on architecture for self-hosted Falcon LogScale deployments in customer’s cloud, virtual, and on-premise environments. You’ll work closely with Sales Engineers in defining architectural requirements and creating project design documents to be used in customer’s production environments.

The position is remote-friendly within the United States with the opportunity for limited travel onsite with customers. Fluency in English is required and solid technical writing skills.

  • Do you have extensive hands-on experience with kubernetes and other containerized application systems, running in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure?

Your responsibilities:
  • Act as the technical point of contact for Falcon LogScale deployments
  • Work closely with customers and our Sales teams to capture technical requirements and develop architectural diagrams and plans for production deployment of Falcon LogScale environments
  • Deploy Falcon LogScale with Kubernetes and/or Ansible while working closely with customers to configure their deployments for security and scalability
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with Falcon LogScale deployments if they arise
  • Configure integrations with third party systems using languages such as python, go, and bash
  • Assist customer with data onboarding, leveraging 3rd party tool audit/logging policy configurations, log transport methodology, and parser development
  • Work with customers to build automation around data ingestion
Your background:
  • Hands on experience and troubleshooting skills with Linux, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Kafka
  • Experience with log transport methodologies and tools, such as syslog, FluentD, Vector, HEC, and Elastic beats
  • Automation experience building scripts in Bash, Python, or other programming languages
  • Knowledge of distributed applications hosted in AWS, GCP, and Azure
  • Knowledge of directory services, authentication, networking, and data storage
  • Experience working with pre-sales teams on technical scoping, requirements gathering, and post-sales handoffs
  • Exceptional communication skills
Nice to haves, but not required:
  • Experience working with log management/SIEM solutions (Falcon LogScale, Splunk, QRadar, Arcsight, LogRhythm, Exabeam Data Lake)
  • Knowledge of log management skills and best practices, including: log analysis, data onboarding, parsers, search queries, dashboards, and alerts
  • Experience managing technical deployments, tracking time, and closing projects
  • Understanding of log management use cases, including security, observability, DevOps, IT ops, and/or business operations
  • Experience translating your knowledge of customer requirements and experiences into feedback for product and engineering teams
  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies including new service offerings and cross-sell/upsell opportunities
  • Experience developing documentation and transferring knowledge of deployments to customers and internal stakeholders

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this position in the U.S. is $105,000 - $155,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
