Job SummaryRadford University Carillion – Radford University is seeking applications for a Full–Time Special Purpose Faculty position in the Department of Psychology. Area of specialization is open. This will be a renewable nine-month, non-tenure-track position. The Department of Psychology is part of the College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences ( CHBS ) and supports the university mission at both the Radford University Carillion ( RUC ) campus in Roanoke, VA, and Radford University (RU) campus in, Radford, VA. The main department office is located at the RU campus. The department of psychology supports general education and a minor degree program in psychology at RUC . On the RU campus the department supports an undergraduate major and minor in psychology, a master’s program with concentrations in Experimental and Industrial Organizational Psychology, an Ed.S./M.S. program in School Psychology, and a doctoral program in Counseling Psychology. The primary assignment is to maintain a presence at the RUC campus. Duties include: teaching undergraduate courses online and face-to-face at RUC , representing the department of psychology at RUC , and teaching online or F2F courses at Radford University. Courses include introductory psychology, lifespan development, and courses within one’s area of expertise. There is also the potential to take on service roles related the finalist’s skills and interests. The position will begin August 9th, 2022. Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree in psychology, with degree awarded by start date. Preferred qualifications include experience teaching in both online asynchronous, online synchronous, and face-to-face formats.
