Job Description:

The Marketing Specialist will coordinate chamber sponsorships and corresponding events for all 17 counties. In addition, this person will be the Marketing contact for Roper. This will include meeting with the Roper Representatives at least quarterly, writing articles for the Ropers e-blast, coordinating Roper branch events and preparing written reports of progress made in opening new accounts. This person will also act as business services marketing liaison and will meet with them on a regular basis to determine marketing needs. Finally, the Marketing Specialist will assist with all marketing events as needed.

Were looking for a part-time Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Team.
Reporting to the Community & Media Relations Manager, the Marketing Specialist will support the overall goals of TVFCU by serving a:

  • The chamber contact for all 17 counties.
  • The Business Services Contact
  • The TVIA Contact
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (preferred) or the pursuit of one in Marketing, Communications, PR, Media or Event Production from a four-year institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year working experience in a similar role in Marketing, Communications, PR, Media, or Event Production.
  • Working knowledge of graphic design principles, retail merchandising and online marketing process/implementation a plus.
  • Must have a valid drivers license and be insurable under the companys driving insurance policy. Must be willing to drive a company vehicle when on company time.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move up to (50) lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to include early mornings, late events and weekends.
  • Ability to work outdoor events in all types of weather.
  • Ability to work a combination of 1-2 nighttime, early morning and or weekend events per week.

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Kadince, G Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, and Drive), WordPress and Adobe products a plus.
  • Market research experience
