SUMMARY
Responsible for the ordering of materials, supplies, and/or equipment, and the follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery. Researches and builds relationships with external vendors. Negotiates a fair price with vendors, drafting contracts and coordinating the delivery of the goods or services. May be expected to compose RFIs (Requests for Information), or RFPs (Requests for Proposals).
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong written / verbal communication, organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong practical knowledge and experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
- Some experience using Microsoft Dynamics GP Purchasing / Inventory module or like system.
WORK EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three (3) years’ experience related to purchasing/procurement.
EDUCATION
An Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Fluent in English and Spanish required.
