We have an immediate opening for a Purchasing Clerk at our Earth City, MO Headquarters. The Purchasing Clerk will compile requests for materials, prepare purchase orders, keep track of purchases and supplies, and handle inquiries about orders; gather information and record data into the ERP system; and help accounting with matching invoices to purchase orders.

Responsibilities:
- Enter purchase orders into computer, process, register, and check.
- Follow up with vendors to make sure purchase orders ar eshipped on time.
- Process invoices incoming from the mailroom. Update final cost on product code. Verify proper cost of material purchased and give to billing department.
- Fax to branch locations their copies of invoices for approval; file copy awaiting response.
- Handle branch locations receiving from fax machine when approved.
- Process any changes to purchase orders in the computer, update delivery dates.
- File yellow copies of open purchase orders in tubs (open files).
- Match acknowledgments with purchase orders and make changes if needed.
- Record and file green copies of purchase orders from St. Louis and branches.
- Enter roll back data once a week into computer.
- File paid bills.
- Procure office supplies and maintain office supply room.
- Order vending machine products.
- Call in purchase orders.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent); some college preferred.
- 1+ year of accounting and/or purchasing experience; 3-5 years preferred.
- Demonstrated history of successful data entry experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in Lean environments preferred, but not required.
