Equivalent ExperienceDescription:
Intermediate position where primary responsibilities include: • Performing advanced MS Word processing tasks, including providing support to customers with documentation issues. • Working with a variety of documents including: reports, protocols, specifications, procedures, work instructions and forms (including MS Word and PDF fillable forms). • Primarily formatting MS Word documents and routing for review and approval in Electronic Document Management System: - Converting documents into current template format. - Ensuring Table of Contents is updated, cross references are accurate, styles are applied appropriately, where applicable. • Works on assignments that are routine in nature where action and initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. • Interacts with appropriate departments to establish priorities and deadlines (other departments and internally as well) • Ensures the correct and timely input of database entries, verifies own work. • Provides additional support and assistance on tasks and projects as directed by management.

Knowledge & Skills • Advanced knowledge of MS Word: update templates, convert documents to templates, generate table of contents, use cross references, create captions, work with tables and create and/or edit fillable forms. • Advanced knowledge of computer systems which support document control processes (or ability to learn new systems) • Demonstrates general knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), Document Control fundamentals, Quality Systems and GMP requirements. • Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own work area. • Demonstrates a high degree of attention to detail. • Demonstrates problem solving skills. • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Excel and Adobe Professional. • Demonstrates strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Typical Education & Experience • 4 year degree; open to any area of study • Relevant experience in formatting complex documents in the pharmaceutical industry preferred
