Certified Group has a new rewarding opportunity for an accomplished and result oriented Quality Manager who will provide support to management in the promotion and assessment of compliance with regulations, guidelines, and operating procedures by managing the quality assurance oversight of projects, assignments, training, and staff for their division. This key role is instrumental in maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation for their division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide guidance to all Laboratory Department Managers when internal or external audits are conducted.
• Ensure appropriate follow-up of audits whether internal or external.
• Audit departmental Quality records for compliance (temperature checks, equipment calibrations, media qualification, technical testing QC/SQC, etc.).
• Apprise Corporate QA Director and/or Managing Director of investigations of quality issues, customer audits and regulatory inspections for the division.
• With the assistance of the Divisional QA Deputy, review SQC documents monthly and ongoing proficiency test data.
• Ensure CAPA’s are monitored and closed on time with effective root cause.
• Maintain and follow-up on proficiency testing schedules, submissions, and reports for the laboratory.
• Utilize the assistance of our Corporate QA Director and/or ISO Consultant in an appropriate fashion to maintain compliance with the Quality System within the division.
• Inspect training records for accuracy and completeness.
• Review and oversee the updates for the Asset Log and Calibration/Maintenance schedules as necessary.
• Ensure equipment calibration records are current.
• Report to the Managing Director when policy decisions need to be made and/or a change in existing policy may be warranted.
• Participate in the QA Working Group.
• This position and duties may be coupled with another role, as needed.

• BA or BS degree, with seven (2-3) years Quality Assurance experience in Laboratory ISO standards, plus 2-3 years of management experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Solid knowledge of current ISO regulations, guidelines, and associated regulatory requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of quality assurance processes and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
• Excellent problem solving and risk analysis skills.
• Effective organization, communication, team orientation, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and establish/maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
