Job Description
Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards. Reviews, analyzes and reports on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical systems. Investigates problems and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years of experience. Master’s Degree and 4 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree. 12 years of relevant non-exempt, Manufacturing, Military, Shipbuilding or Trades experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. An Apprentice Certificate or graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School can be substituted for Bachelor’s degree.

NAVSEA 0948-LP-045-7010, Material Control Standard, NAVSEA 0989-064-3000, Cleanliness Requirements for Nuclear Propulsion Plant Maintenance and Construction, NAVSEA 9074-AS-GIB-010/271, Requirements for Nondestructive Testing Methods, NAVSEA S9074-AR-GIB-010/278, Requirements for Fabrication Welding and Inspection, and Casting Inspection and Repair for Machinery, Piping and Pressure Vessels, NAVSEA T9074-AD-GIB-010/1688, Requirements for Fabrication, Welding, and Inspection of Submarine Structure and MIL-STD-1689, Fabrication, Welding, and Inspection of Ships Structure, NAVSEA 0924-062-0010, Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) Requirements Manual, and ISO 9000, Quality Management System.
Prior leadership experience is preferred with ability to oversee project teams and manage independent assignments. Candidate to have familiarity with certification and ships systems with preferred focus in: Propulsion Systems (Reactor Plant and Steam Plant), Propulsion Plant Cleanliness, SUBSAFE and Re-entry Controls requirements, Auditing, Welding, and Non-destructive testing process.
