LEFTA Systems is an industry leader in providing law enforcement agencies across the United States software to better monitor incidents, identify early warning signs and improve trust and transparency in their communities. Since 2006, we have focused on building better law enforcement software resources for local, state, and federal level law enforcement agencies.
We are looking to add a Quality Assurance Automation Analyst to our team. This is a critical member of the information technology team responsible for evaluating and monitoring the quality LEFTA Systems SHIELD Suite of applications functionality by preventing, quickly detecting, and validating application and process defects focused on providing clear customer-driven business results.
This position will analyze and understand requirements to write test cases and devise a test strategy to adequately evaluate the requirements, test results, prepare change requests, and generate measures to assess the product quality. This position champions test planning, test Automation and execution, and product validation.
- Ability to analyze and understand requirements to write detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to review requirement specifications, and technical design documents in order to provide timely and meaningful feedback with the development team.
- Develop and implement a test strategy to evaluate application based on requirements. Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
- Proficient knowledge of test management and manual/automated testing tools for regression, cross browser, and functional testing.
- Must have experience in an Agile/Scrum environment; we operate in 2-week sprints.
- Must be able to work cross-functionally to identify gaps or missing elements across the test cycle, collaborate with User Experience and Customer Support to incorporate customer feedback into testing approaches, and provide insights on best practices to ensure that deadlines are executed.
- Must have knowledge of underlying technologies supporting the applications under test i.e., REST API’s, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C#, SQL, and cloud architecture.
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
- Document all client contact, issues, and resolutions in ZOHO CRM or ZOHO Desk and run ad hoc reports for analysis.
- Conduct all client interaction in a professional manner including dress, appearance, office space and environment that is not disruptive to meetings and/or training.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Must have working knowledge/experience with:
- Agile work planning tools (DevOps or similar)
- Source-control change management software (GIT or similar)
- Test management software (TestRail or similar)
- Continuous integration tools (Jenkins or similar)
- 2+ years of experience in business/systems testing
- Ability to showcase an understanding of general testing techniques such as functional, integration performance, and regression testing
- Working knowledge of test management and automated testing tools
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Associates degree or better in a related technical field from an accredited college.
- 1-2 years of experience in testing manually and with automation with both API-based, UI-based and DB testing
- SQL experience for creating, updating, and deleting data for the creation of test data
- Understanding of software testing standards and best practices
- Experience implementing and evaluating software quality metrics
- Experience creating and implementing comprehensive software testing strategies in environments utilizing CI/CD
- Experience evaluating and implementing test automation frameworks (such as Selenium, Appium, Postman) and leading test automation teams
- Experience with UI, REST API, and mobile test strategies and tooling
- Proficient with the entire SDLC and the role of QA within each stage
- Track record of successful product launches and subsequent iterations of existing products by utilizing software development practices such as continuous improvement and continuous delivery

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
