Your position is responsible for providing professional and dependable service and to develop our Team’s capability to deliver JIC’s key objectives to all our customers and suppliers. You will have a complete understanding of all customer/supplier requirements.

This role will be measured against specific targets as noted in the departmental business plan.

Summary: The QA data myte technician collects data from each model of part from each line to ensure parts are meeting customer requirements . the technician performS job DUTIES in a manner which meets established quality, delivery, cost and safety targets. THE TECHNICIAN IS EXPECTED TO FOLLOW OPERATING AND QUALITY PROCEDURES IN PERFORMING DUTIES IN THE MOST EFFICIENT MANNER POSSIBLE. fOLLOWS COMPANY SAFETY AND OTHER POLICIES AS OUTLINED IN ASSOCIATE HANDBOOK.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Using the Data Myte equipment, collects data from each model of part from each line to ensure parts meet customer requirements.

· Ensures that Data Myte probes are calibrated daily prior to use.

· Notifies QA Dimensional Group of all out of spec parts. Reports any non-conformity that is found to supervisor to ensue parts are contained.

· Assists production team with parts containment and sorting of suspect parts.

· Maintains the cleanliness of the Data Myte jigs and surrounding areas.

· Performs work in a timely manner. Works independently with little or no direction.

· Knows and follows Standard Operating Procedures. Seeks assistance on all training concerns.

· Wears protective equipment (PPE) such as bump cap, steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, Kevlar sleeves and gloves at all times.

· Supports departmental safety goals and points out safety violations/unsafe acts.

· Completes process audit for department.

· Reports any injuries or unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.

· Follows safety regulations and policies, including Lock-out Procedures

· Keeps work area clean and picked up at all times. Practices good 5S.

· Responsible for practicing proper lifting techniques when doing physical lifting.

· Responsible for basic equipment maintenance and reports any equipment problems to supervisor.

· Follows Quality procedures and Work Instructions as trained. Seeks root cause analysis (SNAP) of failure so as to avoid repeats; shares concerns and problems with supervisor before they intensify. Helps to achieve quality goals, points out potential quality concerns, uses good judgement in making quality decisions.

· Follows-up on reoccurring problems and counter-measures implementation to minimize cost.

· Reports to assigned Coordinator/Team Leader and is at work station at start of shift and abides within allotted times for meals and breaks. Notifies Team Leader or Coordinator whenever leaving work station.

· Effectively communicates shift and operation matters with supervisors and for the following shift’s team.

· Works and communicates with co-associates in a positive manner. Accepts and responds to change in positive manner, accepts job assignments and additional duties willingly.

· Welcomes, trains, mentors and takes responsibility for new Associate’s development and retention.

· Looks for, makes suggestions for improvement and implements improvements.

· Obey all JIC policies and procedures as outlined in handbook.

· Follows ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 policies and work instructions.

· Sets up daily operation ready for following shift.

JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Interpersonal Skills: Possess skills to communicate with supervision and other Associates.

Problem-Solving Skills: Able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in identifying defects and solving problems with equipment and process to avoid missed quality, delivery or safety concerns.

EDUCATION, MATH, LANGUAGE AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.65 - $22.65 per hour
