Quality Assurance Lead
Remote
IPTA is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Lead with experience testing software applications that use Microsoft .NET, SQL Server, Azure, and other Microsoft Technologies to join our Application Cloud Migration team. This team provides technical expertise to our clients as we assist them migrating applications into commercial cloud environments.
The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for executing all phases of testing including planning, design and execution, with the ability to perform functional, integration, system, acceptance and regression testing. This position provides documentation to ensure all test scenarios/business requirements are covered and tested successfully. This role works on multiple deliverables with dynamic schedules.

Responsibilities:
- Work and coordinate with project managers, business analysts and developers to understand requirements and functional specifications and ensure appropriate test coverage
- Develop a deep understanding and expertise of the different product features and use cases and enhance this with knowledge of real-world business processes and flows
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain test cases for system, regression, and integration testing
- Document test execution results and log defects
- Provide feedback and risk assessment on potential defects and functional/requirement gaps
- Provide support for other testing activities as needed
- Maintain and track project artifacts necessary for Quality Assurance throughout the development life cycle
- Assist the development team in debugging and reproducing reported issues
- Available off hours for scheduled deployments, as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/related field
- 10+ years of experience testing web-based software solutions
- 3+ years of experience creating and executing Automated Tests for web solutions
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences, and to connect technological solutions with measurable business value
- A desire to help clients succeed in designing and developing modern applications
- Leadership experience managing 6-10 person QA Team
- Leadership experience managing a QA Team as part of a 50-75 person application development / web services system integration project
- Technical experience managing a large, complex web application with thousands of test cases across multiple test types and environments
- Process experience using Agile Scrum methodology
- Technology experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps, or similar, for test planning and test case management
- Strong analytical, deductive reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with all levels of clients and internal teams
- Ability to consider solution impact and long-term effects of decisions/solutions
