Job description

A large pharmaceutical packaging company located in North Carolina is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Specialist for all shifts.

Job Details:

* Interpret customer purchase orders and work orders to ensure we are producing to the customers exact specifications

* Review all job information to be sure previous operations performed all steps necessary for the job, in other words that nothing was overlooked

* Cut down mock-ups to final size, fold and glue to create a representation of the final product for the customer based on the job jacket requests

* Verifying (Signing off on) Proofs / Mock-ups / Job Jacket Information / Imposition etc. coming from pre-press on all jobs

* Marking obvious spelling / punctuation errors

* Checking for Postal Requirements on indicia’s and mailing panel

* Checking for bleeds and crop marks

* Verifying the number up, size, version information, paper, etc. matches the work order exactly

* Pulling job samples as requested

* Ordering PMS Ink for the press room, verifying this against the on-hand inks and ordering only what is needed to complete upcoming jobs

* Ordering Process Ink for the press room and maintaining an ongoing inventory

* Ordering and maintaining UV and AQ Coating inventories for the press room

* Ordering consumables for the press room as needed to maintain 100% uptime

* Fountain Liners, Blanket Wash Rolls, Chemicals for Cleaning, Blankets, etc.

* Verifying color & quality on all press runs while on shift

* Pull and inspect random samples of all plant equipment and operations as time allows:

* Time Pulls

* Samples

* Pulling random samples as equipment is in production

* Final inspection as time allows of product before shipment

* Incoming inspection of outsourced materials

* Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.

* Maintains files of customer samples and color standards.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
