CDCF Seeks to develop a sustainable surge COVID-19 workforce to support the Division of Immunization in the Office of Epidemiology and Prevention Services at the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau for Public Health.
This position travels the assigned region to conduct site audits in vaccination sites, to include offices, clinics, hospitals, distribution hubs and Local Health Department offices and others identified. It also involves completion of required CDC data input, paperwork and audits.
Must be able to travel 50-60 miles per day in personal vehicle
Responsibilities
- Participate in ongoing training from the CDC.
- Ensure all required site visits are completed in a timely matter.
- Coordinate with other Quality Assurance Specialists to ensure all sites throughout West Virginia are audited.
- Perform site visit to include looking at patient charts, refrigerator and freezer, certificates of calibration, review paperwork, answer questions and training. Audits must comply with policies and procedures regarding confidential information and data security for the handling of sensitive client information and protected health information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a health science, behavioral science or closely related field and two years of health-related experience which included researching, collecting, and analyzing data and statistics, developing objectives, protocols, providing health education services to target groups or the general public, and/or investigation and prevention of communicable or chronic diseases; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Must have valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle.
- Must has experience protecting confidentiality and privacy of data.
