SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

The Quality Control Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position responsible for supporting distribution center operations to ensure an organized and timely process for completing production orders. The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for visual inspection of inbound/outbound items, verifying all part numbers and serial numbers match between paperwork, physical unit, and AX data system. Working closely with internal teams to correct QC issues and meet turnaround times per company and customer requirements. Other duties may apply.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Quality control of incoming and outgoing products
  • Verification that all data points match across paperwork, units, travelers, and AX
  • Visually inspecting incoming and outgoing products to ensure the cosmetic integrity of each individual unit
  • Verify various critical checkpoints to complete quality inspection process such as ship to addresses, bill to account information, weight, dimensions, serial numbers, part numbers, etc.
  • Track and communicate quality inspection results with internal team(s)
  • Work closely with shipping and receiving teams
  • Clear all items through QC by the end of shift on a daily basis


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2 Years of a proven track record of successfully working in a quality control position, preferably in the distribution/manufacturing industry
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task in a demanding and fast-paced environment
  • Proficient understanding of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Team player with a proactive disposition
  • Understands the basic concept of small group communication
  • Must possess critical thinking skills
  • Documentation and reporting skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to perform lifting tasks involving light to heavy objects (10 to 80+ pounds)
  • Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, and pulling of boxes, as well as frequent movement (walking) throughout the distribution center.
  • Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time
  • Ability to access information on the computer
  • This position is not able to work remotely.
