Our sister company, Guardian Equipment, was founded 45 years ago and manufactures industrial safety equipment. Guardian’s emergency eyewash and shower products are used to protect workers in the event of a chemical spill or accident. We have been family-owned for three generations and are the largest players in our two industries, selling products all over the world. We love Chicago and have always been here. We have two state-of-the-art facilities totaling 200,000 square feet in Chicago. WaterSaver is located at Erie and Halsted Streets in River North, while Guardian is at North Branch and Division Streets on Goose Island. Both companies have gated off-street parking, are close to the Kennedy Expressway (I90) and have easy access to public transportation.

Role and Responsibilities:
Due to continuing growth in our business, we have openings for a Quality Control Inspector. Responsibilities of this position include:
- Inspecting component parts manufactured in-house and purchased from outside vendors;
- Preparing inspection reports and maintaining database;
- Testing and troubleshooting components and finished products to address quality issues;
- Working with design and manufacturing engineers to improve product design and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
We require a hands-on professional with attention to detail and the ability to think through problems and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient with common measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, comparators and experienced with coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Ability to evaluate and interpret engineering drawings & specifications.
- Ability to prepare and complete inspection forms and related documentation.
- Knowledge of GD&T and quality procedures.
- Capable of performing basic math calculations & data entry with accuracy.
