Position
Quality Control Inspector III
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Job Description: Inspection of PDC Drill Bits and components to drawing specifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform product Final Inspection.
- Perform incoming or in-process inspections.
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections with close attention to detail.
- Ensure shop travelers (paperwork) are complete and correct.
- Operate a sandblaster, as required.
- Spray paint the final product, as required.
- Perform final cleanup on the product with air tools, impact wrenches and other hand tools.
- Detect and control nonconforming product.
- Other inspection duties, as required.
Requirements:
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a QC inspection role, or equivalent.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.
Skills
- Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Attention to detail for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs.
- Must be able to use or learn to use various types of measuring equipment.
- Must be able to read and interpret inspection requirements in procedures and on all documents contained in the shop travelers.
- Must be able to operate lifting equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to operate hand tools, stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to pass a visual acuity test with or without corrective lenses.
Training
- No previous training is required.
- Employee shall be trained to perform final inspection and at least one area of in-process or receiving inspection.
- Employee shall be required to pass a visual acuity test with or without corrective lenses, annually.
