Position

Quality Control Inspector III

Location: Fort Worth, TX

Job Description: Inspection of PDC Drill Bits and components to drawing specifications.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform product Final Inspection.
• Perform incoming or in-process inspections.
• Conduct dimensional and visual inspections with close attention to detail.
• Ensure shop travelers (paperwork) are complete and correct.
• Operate a sandblaster, as required.
• Spray paint the final product, as required.
• Perform final cleanup on the product with air tools, impact wrenches and other hand tools.
• Detect and control nonconforming product.
• Other inspection duties, as required.

Requirements:

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a QC inspection role, or equivalent.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required.

Skills

• Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Attention to detail for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs.
• Must be able to use or learn to use various types of measuring equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret inspection requirements in procedures and on all documents contained in the shop travelers.
• Must be able to operate lifting equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to operate hand tools, stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to pass a visual acuity test with or without corrective lenses.

Training

• No previous training is required.
• Employee shall be trained to perform final inspection and at least one area of in-process or receiving inspection.
• Employee shall be required to pass a visual acuity test with or without corrective lenses, annually.
