We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician for both 1st and 2nd Shifts! This role is eligible for a Signing Bonus!

JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for procedures related to the Uncle Charley’s Sausage Company Food Safety and Food Quality programs. Tasks will include direct monitoring of operational procedures, direct evaluation of products/materials, and interaction with personnel performing said procedures utilizing GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards. Completion and review of all associated documentation is expected. Assistance for the Vice President of Operations as instructed by that manager or fellow management personnel will be paramount to the flow of the facility.
COMPENSATION:
$18 per hour to $21 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor and influence Goof Manufacturin Practice's for all associates working in processing, packaging, warehouse, and sanitation areas.
- Ensure ALL employees are following Food and Employee safety procedures with the responsibility to correct lapses as needed. All corrective actions must be run through departmental supervision and communicated to management.
- Monitor Food Safety and Quality throughout the manufacturing process.
- Verification of sanitation procedures and allergen testing as they apply to equipment and building areas.
- Correct recording, review, and filing of associated documents.
- Ensure recipes and other instruction sets are followed
- Collect product and/or lab samples as needed
- Maintain full compliance with traceability and third-party customer software and programs.
- Complete inspections of product, equipment, building, machinery, and inventory as needed.
- Collect supplier logs, documents, and reports for review and filing.
- Complete supplier and vendor questionnaires from customers.
- Digitize all QA, food safety, and production paperwork to streamline the reporting and record keeping process.
- Assist in developing the skills and competencies of QA by participating in trainings (internal and external) and learning on the job.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of quality control experience preferred.
- HACCP, SQF, GMP certifications a plus
- Experience in food manufacturing environment preferred
- Familiarity with PC and Microsoft Office

JOB DETAILS:
We are hiring for both 1st and 2nd shifts! This position is considered regular full-time and the role that is normally scheduled:
- 1st Shift - Monday through Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm
- 2nd Shift - Monday through Friday, 3:00pm - 12:00am
Overtime work may be required based on the needs of the business. Overtime pay is 1.5 x the base rate for all hours worked over 40 within a work week.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moderate cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Majority of shift requires standing and/or walking. May be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, twist, bend, or reach with hands and arms. Often required to push, pull, and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
