Job title: Senior Supervisor, Quality Inspection

Location: 1355, Bluegrass Lakes Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30004

Major purpose:

Effectively lead and manage 12+ Quality Inspectors and maintain a schedule of coverage for all areas of responsibility for all shifts required. Manage daily inspection activity of In-process Inspection, Final Inspection, and Sell-off for Production and MRO activities. Assist Quality Engineering, and Internal Audit, as required. Support Key Metrics for the area of responsibility.

Major functions:

• Manage performance reviews of all direct reports. Scheduling of inspection coverage to support Production and Customer Support needs.
• Capable of performing tasks typically assigned to Senior Inspectors to ensure conformance to engineering and contractual specifications including:

o Inspecting components
o Inspecting Soldering of electronic assemblies, sub-assemblies, and chassis, primarily Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA’s), Low Volt Power Supplies (LVPS), High Volt Power Supplies (HVPS) to ensure conformance to Engineering Specifications.
o Inspecting mechanical/electronic assemblies and subassemblies including sub-assembly and top level chassis and complex wire harnesses.

• Ability to verify completion of all paperwork at final inspection.
• Performs dimensional verifications used for internal product acceptance criteria.
• Creates, maintains and verifies assembly and subassembly configuration, deconfiguration and reconfiguration standards.
• Initiate NCRs to document and request material review of non-conforming materials. Manage Daily MRB and material non-conformance activities.
• Communicates with all levels of personnel, both in writing and verbally.

Technical/Functional skills:

• Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of inspection processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team.
• Strong knowledge and skills within Quality Control/Inspection discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
• Knowledge of inspection techniques including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and use of microscopes, micrometers, calipers and scales.
• Certified in J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 requirements and electronic sub-assembly inspection. (or ability to obtain certification).

• General computer skills to gather and analyze data.
• Organizational and strategic skills (strong project / event planning and execution).
• Task oriented (complete tasks on time without follow up).

Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 4 years prior relevant experience or post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum of 3 years inspection experience in Defense/Commercial Electronics systems.
• Communication and language mastery / skilled at organizing, writing and presenting information with user in mind.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
