QUALITY INSPECTOR

Arcosa Traffic Structures is looking for a Quality Inspector. In this position you will perform basic quality control testing and inspection of standard parts, units, equipment or material to ensure conformance with standards and determine if product meets all requirements.


What you'll do:

  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials, the fit up of assemblies, parts, and welds throughout the manufacturing process
  • Inspect coatings (Galvanizing/Paint) prior to shipment
  • Perform magnetic particle inspection
  • Follow all safety rules and practices
  • Fill-in as needed so that production goals can be met
  • May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in steel fabrication/welding
  • Minimum of Level II MT Certification
  • Level II UT Certification preferred
  • CWI Certification preferred
  • Experience with welding inspection tools and measuring equipment preferred
  • Experience with AWS D.1.1 Structural Steel Welding Standards preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:

  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
  • Successful employees will have the ability to tolerate high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
