ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains quality standards by inspecting and approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products and recording quality results.
Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; rejects and returns unacceptable materials.
Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; communicates required adjustments to production supervisor
Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducts visual and measurement tests; returns products and confirms re-work.
Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizes re-work and waste; and inputs data into quality database
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate’s degree (A.A.) preferred with demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must also have ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Must be able to read drawings and operate hand tools
  • Must have metric skills and experience in the use of measurement tools including calipers, micrometers and height gages, and CMM equipment.
  • Requires good critical thinking and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of office software, organizational abilities and strong attention to detail
  • A proven track record of success that includes administrative management, facilities, creative problem-solving and business partner experience is desired.
  • Have excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have a professional, outgoing, guest-service oriented manner.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people, and remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
  • Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 years exp in mechanical inspections or assembly using basic measurement equipment.
  • Minimum 4-5 years experience in manufacturing (quality department)
  • Use of safety glasses, hard hat and steel toed shoes required
  • Familiarized with the ISO 9001-2015 Requirements
  • Gage Calibration experience desired.
  • Must be able to use a Romer Measuring device.
  • Must be familiar and able to use calipers, depth mics, tri mics, thread ring gauges, thread plugs and torque wrenches.
