The Quarry Administrator at our Indiana Limestone facilities will organize and coordinate office administration and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and safety. This position reports directly to the Director of Quarry Operations and will work alongside them to meet objectives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Completes daily tasks and errands for multiple quarry operations
  • Organize and schedule meetings/appointments as necessary
  • Assist shared services IT/HR as needed
  • Capture and report daily quarry metrics
  • Manage and recruit staff
  • Managing weekly payroll
  • Remain updated on technical and professional knowledge
  • Ensure office efficiency is maintained
  • Monitor and analyze special projects
  • Promote actives that enhance operational procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date records and deal with paperwork
  • Liaise with staff on site and deal with any technical or staffing challenges that arise
  • Keep up to date with relevant government legislation and industry developments
  • Maintain and update all record keeping

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4 Year degree in mining or closely related field
  • A strong level of technical understanding of quarrying environments and extraction systems
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Good business and management skills
  • Project-management skills
  • Leadership qualities and team building skills
  • The ability to think strategically and to problem solve
  • The capacity to make quick decisions and to think on your feet
  • Computer/IT skills and abilities
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues and how they relate to practical working environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
