Rowland Cattle Company, LLC is currently hiring Ranch Hands/Farm Workers to assist with ranch/farm operations. This employment will be full-time/52 weeks a year. Weekly hours will vary based on ranch needs. Ranch hands will support existing crews on various ranch properties located in Dade City, FL. Relocation assistance is not available for these positions. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Cattle Husbandry - Properly and safely care for animals. Assure that cattle have adequate water and forages. Adhere to world class animal handling and welfare practices.
• Assist in maintaining 1,000 plus acres of hay fields to include spraying, fertilizing, mowing, planting and harvesting.
• Assist with the upkeep of ranch infrastructure and pasture maintenance.
• Operate farm equipment as needed, such as loaders, harvesters, tractors, hay equipment and trucks.
• Show interest in your assignments, accept responsibility, stay busy, and ensure each job is done to meet or exceed expectations.
• Arrive to work on-time, be trustworthy, and hustle.
• Work safely at all times by following all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience driving a tractor with implements and the ability to hook up and detach implements.
• Strong demonstrated communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work outside in year-round weather conditions including heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 75 pounds.
