Job description

We're looking for Reach Truck Drivers for a temp-to-hire position in Jacksonville. Hires must be comfortable with cold environments. Workers will regularly enter freezers and work in 30-degree temperatures. Applicants must know how to operate a Forklift. Employees will operate equipment with lifting devices such as a forklift, clamp or elevating platform, push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products or materials. This position requires a varied work schedule and the ability to work overtime. The pay is $16/hr. This is a full-time position with occasional overtime.

Shifts are from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Requirements:

• Be capable of operating forklifts and their attachments
• Have good arithmetic skills
• Be able to read and write load diagrams, shipping orders, work instructions, and various business communications
• Capable of following verbal and written instructions
• Available to work variable shifts
• Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Pass written and driving forklift exam
• Must have High Lift – Reach Truck Experience

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, enter and travel in warehouse environments, and communicate verbally.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Experience:

• Forklift Operator: 1 year (Required)
• Reach Truck: 1 year (Required)

Job Duties:

• Load and unload trucks
• Move and stack materials
• Work in a freezer environment
• General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
• Follow current good warehousing practice
• Use common warehouse management software
• Receive/process shipments
• Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

• Jacksonville, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
