Position: Wilson Certified Reading Instructor / Tutor (Or other similar specialized training)
Hours: Part-time
Compensation: $20-25/hr. depending on qualifications and experience
Location: Carlsbad, La Jolla, Mission Valley, Carmel Valley

We carefully select and train talented, passionate, caring educators to help our students maximize their potential for academic success.

Job Description:
We are looking for fun, engaging, and experienced educators to help our students reach their fullest potential in academic achievement! Our ideal candidate has experience tutoring elementary, middle, high school, or college students. Academic Coaches assist students in content specific areas, such as math, English, history, science, and languages. They also help students prepare for standardized tests such as the ISEE, SAT, and ACT, and offer enrichment to students who want to go beyond their grade level. We work with instructors’ specific competencies to match them with students and develop learning plans.

Our prgrams are as follows:
Elementary - College Academic Support (don’t need to do all levels)Math
- English
- History
- Science
- Spanish
ISEE/SAT/ACT Test Prep (don’t need to do all levels)
Admissions Advising
Educational Enrichment

Preferred Competencies:

• Undergraduate degree in relevant field
• Minimum of 1 year of tutoring experience with preference for special education services
• Experience with standardized test preparation
• Honesty and integrity to earn and maintain trusting relationships and uphold professional ethics
• Confidence and ability to inspire others with your love of learning
• Ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with others
• Ability to maintain a consistent schedule

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
