We are developing leaders who will train with some of the best construction mentors in the steel industry with the eventual ability to relocate if asked. What You’ll Do
Work with mentors in different departments to learn the business and culture. Work with existing production, detailing and sales/management teammates for hands on training. Assist in sales functions including, but not limited to: interfacing with customers, converting estimates into printed price summaries and sales proposals and preparing contract documents.
- Starting pay rate of $20.00 to $24.00 per hour plus an annual bonus, based on experience and skills

- Mentor with assigned individuals in different departments to learn the fabrication process through hands-on training.
- Grasp our safety culture and business model through working closely with teammates.
- Assist in the quoting of prices for Harris Rebar materials so that assigned customer accounts are certain to receive bids on work they are pursuing.
- Learn the process by which estimates are made and bids prepared for Harris Rebar materials required on new contracts being bid on assigned customer accounts.
- Under supervision of mentor, learn how to negotiate the sale of Harris Rebar products with those customer accounts that secure new construction contracts.
- When an order has been successfully negotiated with a customer, make certain all necessary drawings, credit information, order information and names of contact personnel are received so that work can immediately proceed within the Harris Rebar organization, review routing sheet for accuracy.
- Keep Branch Manager and/or assigned mentor advised of market trends, competitive price situations and similar market information.
- Assist in the resolution of claims and disputes between Harris Rebar and customers.
- When necessary, assist in the collection of money.
- Develop and maintain cordial relationships with assigned customer accounts.
- Attend construction industry related functions in the sales territory so that the Harris Rebar organization has full knowledge of market and so that good customer relations are maintained.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Minimum two years’ experience in construction or construction supply industry
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree preferred, preferably in Construction Management or Business Administration
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to adjust to a broad scope of job demands
- Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
- Work schedule may include hours beyond the normal business day
- Some travel may be required
