Receipt and End Processing Specialist

This is a regular full-time position in the Technical Services department in the Thomas Boulevard building. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Incumbent is responsible for recording the receipt of University Library System (ULS) materials in a variety of languages and physical formats using the library management system (LMS), Ex Libris Alma.

When receiving materials, incumbent evaluates the quality of their records in the LMS and edits them or imports new records as needed. Further, incumbent completes physical processing of materials, ensuring that they are correctly labeled and secured, with property stamps and security strips applied when appropriate, and transfers them to the mail room for delivery to the correct ULS locations.

Incumbent is also responsible for mail preparation (including shipments of materials sent off-site for outsourced cataloging), loading dock shipping, and receiving mail and distributing it to the Technical Services department.

High school diploma. 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a library technical services setting. Experience with an integrated library system desired. Experience working with print materials in languages other than English desired.
