SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for having the ability to accurately and timely unload/load containers and put away/retrieve product using heavy equipment and mainframe while adhering to company policy and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receipt of shipments: this includes the physical off-loading of in-bound trailers (inter-company and imported goods)
• Willingness to learn and use computer system to accurately perform data entry as well as eventually train others for backup support.
• Clerical duties such as filing, emailing and reporting.
• Product Putaway (accurately and timely storing goods received using order-picker trucks and Drexel lift trucks)
• Shipping including nightly preparing and loading trailers for shipment.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation.
• Miscellaneous duties will also include department housekeeping, equipment maintenance, baling cardboard and plastic as needed, and securing trailers and dock doors at the end of the shift
• Assist receiving dock lead and shift supervisor in any task needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred

• Proficient in computer skills for various tasks
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential
• Must be highly motivated and goal oriented with good organizational skills
