Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from an accredited program. Certification by NCTRC as a CTRS; dual CCLS preferred. Experience working with children with chronic illness and/or disabilities. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with healthcare providers and the general public. Ability to function independently, and as a member of the TR/CL and/or Interdisciplinary team. CPR/ BLS certification.

This position is 40 hours per week & eligible for our full benefits package. Hours include: Mon 10am-8pm, Tue 10am-8pm, Wed 8:30am-6:30pm, Sun 8:30am-6:30pm. Responsible for the assessment of play, recreation, leisure skills, and psychosocial adjustment to hospitalization / placement, to facilitate therapy, leisure education, and recreation participation. Designs, plans, and implements therapeutic activities to meet the needs of the residents. Designs, plans, and implements recreation activities. Functions as an integral member of the Interdisciplinary team.
