Summary

The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for attracting and acquiring talent in the Lake Tahoe area. This role involves high volume recruitment and has a focus in domestic talent. This individual will also be responsible for making recommendations on talent within the organization and ensures that candidates and hiring managers have a positive experience throughout the recruiting process. The Recruiting Specialist has a strong foothold in the community and a pulse on the local labor markets. The selected candidate will be based out of Lake Tahoe. Occasional Travel will be needed.

Core recruiting deliverables will include:

  • Streamlining efforts for greater efficiency and collaboration as demonstrated through time to present candidates and fill times
  • Using metrics and data to make decisions, drive behaviors and outcomes in partnership with operations as measured by their feedback
  • Quality hires as measured by turnover and retention
  • Strategic thinking as it relates to insights and innovation of ideas
  • Create a consistent and positive experience for candidates and new hires

Responsibilities of the Role

  • Sourcing and interviewing top candidates for presentation to hiring managers
  • Acting as the liaison between candidates, hiring managers, and Human Resources colleagues
  • Building relations with hiring mangers seeking trust, influence, and to drive process of talent processes
  • Developing a pipeline of talent and maintaining relations with this candidate pool
  • Following recruitment trends and sharing best practices
  • Embracing technology in looking for efficiencies and in provided a better experience
  • Using traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, colleges, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates. Identify and partner with university or colleges in the area
  • Developing marketing programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates
  • Overseeing internal and external transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, status change, transfer of PTO, etc.
  • Monitoring the labor legislation and implements required changes to keep the process compliant
  • Working with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
  • Designing, developing and maintaining the recruitment process in the organization (including its description, recruitment measurement definitions, regular measurement reporting, taking proper actions to close gaps)
  • Helping coordinate and facilitate new hire on-boarding process/orientation

The hourly rate for this position range is $24 to $27. This is the pay range for this position that Resort at Squaw Creek reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.

  • Knowledge of basic recruitment concepts
  • High volume recruiting experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to source and assess candidates
  • Strong, dynamic leader, able to influence and inspire others
  • Display energy, passion and creativity that translates to action
  • Self-motivated in time management, organizational and communication skills
  • Independent strategic thinker
  • Service industry experience
  • Experience recruiting in hospitality industry, luxury environment preferred
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, Taleo preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including public speaking required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills required
  • Advanced computer skills required
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws impacting employment recruitment process
  • Bilingual (Spanish-English) helpful
  • Ability to travel locally, nationally and internationally. Travel up to 25%.
