Participants in the Tulsa Remote program are integrated into the community through various collaborations and networking opportunities with the ultimate goal of retaining them in the Tulsa area for the long term. The Tulsa Remote program and community have experienced a high level of success and the program is rapidly expanding.


Position Summary

The Recruitment Communications Specialist functions as a key member of the Tulsa Remote Marketing and Recruitment team. Reporting directly to the Recruitment Manager, the team of Recruitment Specialists conducts all functions associated with initial application screening and interviewing individuals to assess their fit for the Tulsa Remote program. Recruitment Specialists’ primary responsibility is reviewing online applications to assess the quality of candidates applying for Tulsa Remote, ensuring alignment with the program’s goals. The position will also have the primary responsibility of interviewing candidates whose applications merited progressing through the application process. In addition, this position is responsible for responding to communications from prospective candidates primarily through email.


To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and technical competency in a variety of databases, application tracking software and other tools. You must also have a deep understanding of the Tulsa Remote objectives and skilled at evaluating applicants to effectively screen and discern qualified candidates.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Effectively manage the initial application screening process for all interested individuals who have applied to the Tulsa Remote program. Responsibilities include:


  • Application Scoring -
    • Spend at least 40% of time interviewing individuals who have successfully progressed through the screening process, conducting five to eight 20-minute pre-scheduled zoom interviews daily.
    • Ensure all successful applicants who have been invited to interview are granted the opportunity within 30 days of receiving their invite.
    • Confirm all program requirements are met in the screening and interview process before moving forward to the finalist stage. If there are concerns, flag them appropriately for the operations team via Salesforce. Provide a comprehensive review of all available content the applicant provides for consideration, including but not limited to: LinkedIn profile, work history, qualitative responses, company website, and all social media links, confirming consistently between the interview and application.
    • Clearly and consistently document detailed interview notes in Salesforce to aid in reviewing and understanding applicants' status throughout the application process.
  • Applicant Interviewing -
    • Spend no less than 60% of your time interviewing individuals who have successfully progressed through the scoring process, expected to conduct twenty-minute pre-scheduled zoom interviews daily.
    • The position shall be the primary interviewer for Tulsa Remote, with the support of other team members as deemed necessary to ensure timely interviewing of all candidates.
    • Ensuring all successful applicants who have been invited to interview are granted the opportunity within thirty days of receiving such notification. The day/time selected for such interviews shall be at the sole responsibility of the individual applicant.
    • Reviewing weekly the Interview Team’s calendar availability to ensure interview opportunities are available within the next thirty days, aligning with interview invitation communications being sent. If no availability exists, work with the Application Experience Manager to discuss remedies.
    • Apply consistently the required interview questions to every candidate to ensure an unbiased process, while allowing flexibility and flow of interview based on candidate experiences and responses.
    • Comprehensive review of all available content provided by the applicant for consideration, including but not limited to, LinkedIn profile, work history, qualitative responses, and other information; company website; and all social media links.
    • Clearly and consistently documenting interview notes within each individual online application to aid in review and understanding applicant’s status throughout the application process.
  • Applicant Communications -
    • Spend 50% of time responding to recruitment-related communications through email and/or phone calls.
    • On a daily basis, respond to inquiries from potential and current applicants through info@tulsaremote.com and visits@tulsaremote.com.
    • Have a deep understanding of Tulsa Remote operations, program requirements, and all other program functions in order to respond to inquiries or direct questions to appropriate staff members.
    • Ensure all applicant communications are documented in Salesforce.
    • Respond to applicants within 48 hours, and work with your Recruitment Manager for support when needed.
    • Twice a week, check the Tulsa Remote voicemail and respond to phone inquiries as needed.
    • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
