About The Role....

As a Recruiting Specialist, will source, screen, hire and assist in retaining high-quality individuals for all types of roles within our organization. The position will require excellent communication and organization skills along with a high attention to detail. It will also require at least one year of experience in talent acquisition, proficiency with Application Tracking Systems and the ability to obtain candidates from various sources.

What You'll Do....

  • Coordinate with managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments
  • Determine applicant qualifications by: phone interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; comparing job qualifications to their requirements. Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes.
  • Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Determine applicant requirements by studying job descriptions and job qualifications. Screen applicants/resumes by providing feedback and/or proper disposition within the applicant tracking system and for resume harvesting.
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; and conducting training.
  • Communicate in a timely manner, providing recruitment updates to candidates and hiring managers. This includes candidate correspondence while communicating credit union information and benefits during screening process. Act as point of contact for the Talent Acquisition team.
  • Serve as back up for job description coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities You'll Need....

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or other related field; or equivalent combination of work experience and education
  • One year of strong experience in talent acquisition and/or recruiting with proven results
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Familiarity with social media, resumes, C.V. databases, and professional networks
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
  • BS/BA in Business administration, Human Resource Management or relevant field
