The Diocese of Palm Beach Pastoral Center is in search of a Regional Accountant who possesses the following job abilities and qualifications:

Technical

  • Understanding of accounting theories and GAAP
  • Knowledge of research techniques sufficient to collect and interpret data
  • Skill in interpreting and analyzing data for correctness and accuracy
  • Knowledge of legal and fiscal requirements and regulations

Communication

  • Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to work effectively with other employees at all levels including establishing customer relationships, building trust and respect

Basic skills

  • Demonstrates ability to organize, perform and track multiple tasks accurately
  • Has ability to work quickly and accurately managing multiple demands
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team player, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and balance and reconcile figures

Examples of individuals that should apply for this position are:

  • Former Controllers of small firms
  • Assistant Controllers in medium size firms
  • Senior Accountants in a large corporation
