Job Summary:

The Regional Director of Compliance and Survey Readiness RN supports Cornerstone’s Senior Living Communities through clinical leadership and direction. To ensure that all senior communities are in adherence to policies and procedures. In addition, to monitor and assure compliance to all clinical regulations. To implement and evaluate home care program policies, procedures, and delivery of care. This position provides clinical oversight to each campus and requires excellent communication skills. This position works with and takes direction from the VP of Clinical Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical support of home care operations to all Senior Living Communities and Staff.
  • Provide training and education when deemed necessary.
  • Assess and provides clinical support for Cornerstone’s compliance with the regulations and companies policies.
  • Work under the direction of the VP of Clinical Services.
  • Works with regional and corporate leaders to support the system wide Quality Assurance Program, including develop means to collect data or implement plans to support goals of QA.
  • Performs chart audits as a written into plan of correction and/or PIP.
  • Responsible for assisting with the mock survey process and ensure compliance in documentation, MARS, staff observation, training, etc.
  • Ensures the availability and success of organizational programming for quality resident services.
  • Audits, revises, implements, supports and guides Cornerstone’s policy and procedure and delivery of care.
  • Maintains awareness of variety of clinical equipment used at each location in assigned region (i.e. mechanical lifts) to assure site has proper training and safe patient handling/safe medical devices.
  • Supports companies lift policies and workplace injury reduction program.
  • Educates staff as needed on working safely such as gate belts, following policies, infection control and exposure control.
  • Ensures the education of all Cornerstone nurses of health care regulations affecting their Senior Living Community.
  • Carry out and Support senior living Electronic Medical Record implementation and enhancements and electronic form development.
  • Conducts in-service training, on the spot training, and delegation of services as necessary to aides.
  • Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to necessary management staff
  • Manages on-line learning system to ensure annual compliance, new hire compliance as well as consistent practices and state-specific regulations.
  • Manages Cornerstone’s HIPAA compliance to include training and investigations.
  • Manages the comprehensive license in Minnesota and works with the operations team to support the licensure in Wisconsin, Iowa, and future state requirements as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Preference of a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, and a graduate of an approved RN program, BS degree preferred.
  • Minimum three years of related work experience in Home Care, Assisted Living.
  • Experience with Federal/State regulations /on-site inspections and significant compliance
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Be of good moral and ethical character with a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

Abilities:

  • Ability to establish and maintain credible relations with Community Directors.
  • Comfort and ability to work self-directed.
  • Ability to embraces change, respond to urgent matters quickly, calmly.
  • Ability to drive and possess a valid driver’s license, some travel required.
  • Solid knowledge of basic Microsoft applications; organizational skills; high level of accuracy and attention to detail and customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to acquire the Wisconsin Administrators License.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to drive and flexibility to travel up to 75% to various sites as needed.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and moving.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times with or without assistance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
