Koch Specialty Plant Services is looking for an Regional Environmental Health and Safety Leader to join their team in Houston, TX. This role will be responsible for site interaction with client representatives, field personnel, managing and training Safety Technicians that work in refineries. The ideal person for this role is a great communicator who is skilled in training field personnel, mentoring, proactively identifies opportunities to engage employees in order to teach developmental strategies and motivate their team to complete leading indicators. This role will sit in the Houston office with 70% travel to project sites nationwide.

What You Will Do In Your Role

• Provide transformational leadership, direction, training, and influence to achieve the EHS vision
• Schedule Technicians for work and answer field questions that arise
• Perform job site visits for management presence, management observations, employee interactions, and safety/compliance performance assessments
• Drive improvements in near miss and incident reporting to enhance knowledge and understanding, improve processes.
• Daily support and assist Field Supervisory personnel through teaching, mentoring, and coaching activities
• Manage field incident issues and on-call 24/7
• Maintain necessary certifications
• Manage VPP program
• Procedure review and editing
• Write, review and audit safety plans
• Write, review and audit ventilation plans

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

• 6+ years of EHS Management experience overseeing and training field personnel
• Experience conducting root cause site safety investigations
• Travel 70% to project sites nationwide
• Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) experience

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's Degree in EH&S
• Multi-site management experience
