DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Understand, communicate, and enforce Company Safety, Quality and Accountability Program (PASS).

The primary responsibility of the Operations Manager is to ensure that all projects and accounts are meeting the TWI and client expectations in the region.

This applies to all aspects of performance as listed below. Individual metric will be communicated a review to monitor performance in each of these areas.

Safety

Ensure that the any TWI wide safety initiatives are being followed.

Ensure that safety performance is consistent with TWI’s goals.

Provide suggestions for improvement / standardization of safety programs.

Ensure that all sites are sharing the near miss and best practice data.

Human Resources

Provide detailed forecasting of manpower requirements for all sites on a rolling twelve month look ahead.

Develop a key supervisors list and track the availability and location of personnel in the area.

Track performance of the key supervisors.

Continually recruit resources to the key supervisors list.

Actively participate in the development of project organizational charts.

Ensure that the HR function is functioning per our internal policies and achieving the operational goal of staffing each job with the most qualified resources available.

Project Execution

Ensure that all sites are sharing best practices.

Ensure that budget expectations are realistic and are achieved.

Support the Site Managers and Project Managers with execution when necessary.

Ensure that the Site Manager’s and Project Managers have all necessary resources to perform the work to the client’s expectations.

Client Relations

Communicate with the client contacts at all sites frequently to ensure that all expectations are being met.

Maintain a proactive approach to problem solving (be the first to identify potential problems and suggest solutions).

Put a positive spin on areas in need of improvement.

Represent TWI in a professional manner.

Ensure that all expectations are defined prior to the turnaround start date and are being met.

Follow up with clients via a customer satisfaction survey and track the results.

Forecasting

Development of yearly man-hour forecasts for budgeting purposes.

Monthly updating of yearly man-hour forecast.

Weekly forecasting of man-hours to be tracked on daily basis.

Weekly updating of monthly man-hour forecast.

Profitability & Growth

Ensure that all sites are operating within their contract limitations to be as profitable as possible.

Ensure that all sites are billing correctly and minimizing the A/R aging.

Assist in proposals for alternative contracting strategies (i.e. lump sum, fixed fee, etc.)

Ensure that all sites have consistent procedures for managing their Nomex, tools, vehicles, and consumables.

Ensure 100% retention of all existing work.

Achieve 10% growth for area.

Leadership

Set the tone for all sites and continually promote the idea that our decisions are always being made with the good of TWI and the client in mind.

Lead by example.

Clearly define your expectations and make them quantifiable.

Track the progress of the Site Managers and Project Managers in relation to your expectations.

Continually recognize and reward those who perform above expectations.

Portray TWI Companies in a positive manner.

Listen to suggestions with an open mind.

Maintain a significant presence at each site and provide advice / assistance as needed.

Quality Control

Ensure that any TWI and Client Quality Control procedures are being utilized at all sites.

Ensure that Quality is consistent with client and TWI goals.

Address quality issues and take appropriate actions to eliminate future.

Training

Develop standardized training to prepare the supervisors for work at all sites.

Track the training of the key supervisors.

Continually improve by attending training courses where most needed.

Proposals / Estimating

Participate in bid / no-bid meetings.

Assist in the development of proposals.

Assist in the preparation of estimates.

Review estimates.

Project Controls

Ensure all projects follow TWI project control standards.

Ensure all projects have a signed PO or approved MSA and sufficient funds to cover the work to be performed.

Ensure all projects have a budget and monitor progress against budget weekly.

Participate in weekly project review meetings and accurately document project financial status.

Ensure changes are identified and documented with the client in a timely fashion.

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of Employees, Management, and will report directly to the Regional Vice President.

Must be able to update data in spreadsheets and be able to perform data entry.

Ability to perform various administrative office tasks.

Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally with staff and customer representatives.

Able to maintain confidentiality of protected client information.

May be required to meet client specific facility entry requirements including, but not limited to: drug test, physical, background check, successful completion of client required training and comprehension testing.

5 years’ experience in administrative office support.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Communications:

Able to read, write, speak & comprehend English fluently

Hearing:

Hearing adequate to perform job duties

Speaking:

Able to communicate clearly in person and over phone

Vision:

Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties as indicated
