Security Department
The Vantage Global Security (VGS) Department for Vantage Data Centers is very hands on and participates in designing each of our new data center building’s security infrastructure. In most cases, we specify, purchase, configure and maintain all our Physical and Electronic Security infrastructure solutions. We work closely with partner VARs to learn about the latest design and technology changes so that we can make informed purchase decisions. We are always looking for ways to strike the best balance between technology, performance, and cost. Essential Job Functions

Assist in the development of overall functions, operations, and performance of the Global Physical Security Threat Management Program to include developing and refining of Global Security Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.

Manage regional facilities Physical Security Threat Assessment program through 3rd party vendors and assist globally when required.

Provide Threat Assessment based Physical Security advice and guidance to site development, security design and construction teams.

Develop a network of regional / global threat intelligence sources and contacts to support the development of useful threat information and context on issues or events that may impact VDC and our client’s interests.

Assist in the provision of Global Security Travel Management for all employees.

Support the protection of individuals within the enterprise through ad hoc briefings, awareness training, and monitoring programs.

Complete projects as assigned including drafting, editing, and revising location assessments and analytical papers.

Monitor open-source and subscription based networks for new trends and changes to security.

Assist with research for white papers and strategic projects.

Understand business goals and recommend new approaches, technology, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives, productivity and development within the organization.

Assist with investigations, social media monitoring, and crisis management logistics as needed.
Duties
-
Provide security travel management for all VDC Expats based on current threat analysis, including arranging destination travel threat assessments, transportation and protection, as well as coordinating / providing support for pre, during and post travel issue, through working with local security contractors.

Manage all regional new / pre-sales site physical security vulnerability, risk & threat assessments with global security vendor and analyze reports to inform site selection and site design.

Manage the regional annual live site physical security vulnerability, risk & threat analysis and penetration testing program with global security vendor including assessment of all reposts, recommendations to policy, practice, processes etc. to improve current SOPs based on detailed security assessment findings.

Develop and maintain a database of assessment based Security Implementation Recommendations and notify the Global Physical Security Threat Manager and respective Regional Security Managers of non-implementation.

Manage onboarding of local security contractors and service related invoicing / PO creation.

Attend threat and security related meetings as required.

Performs additional security and administrative duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Experience

8+ years in analytical, investigative and/or law enforcement disciplines. - Essential

5+ years in security threat and crisis management. - Essential

Possess Internationally accredited security/threat management qualification (IL 3-5 courses) - Essential

Experience working with highly confidential information and commercially aware. – Desirable
General

Provide 24/7 support. Ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Travel is expected to be less than 40%, but may be higher during construction projects
