We are currently seeking a Teen Director (to be housed out of the T-Boone Pickens YMCA) who will develop and provide leadership to our teen community to include Youth & Government (YG) for District and State, Model United Nations (MUN) and Summer Teen Camp. This position will support association level work in various communities. This position will provide leadership for Y branches and communities interested in Youth & Government programs, Summer Teen Camps and MUN programs that support the needs of teens in Middle School and High School. Director will work with branch full time leads, part time staff, volunteers.

Primary Job Duties

• Oversee Youth and Government & MUN program for the Y by supporting existing partnerships with schools, bringing in new partnerships, volunteers, and schools
• Work with the development department to assist in grant writing including data research, writing, data collection, analysis and reports for the programs
• Provide leadership, design and deliver quality summer teen camps to be hosted at Y branches and in the community
• Work with 2-3 full time program directors who will be sharing in Youth & Government & MUN work part time
• Develop and manage the budget for teen programs: Youth & Government, MUN and Summer Teen Camp
• Develop, produce and distribute program information necessary to promote teen programs
• Work with other departments, as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned

Teen Director must demonstrate skills in curriculum design, volunteer development, building and maintaining effective community collaborations and partnerships and event planning are a must. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to work effectively within teams are also essential elements of this position.

• Bachelors Degree and/or 3 to 5 years of experience working with teens and/or volunteers and community
• Knowledgeable in Youth & Government /MUN or a civic engagement programs
• Must be able to create, design and develop Summer Teen Camp curriculum
• Capable of motivating others, leading teams and project management
• Passion for working with youth as evidenced by experiences
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Creative and innovative
• Sensitive to the cultural backgrounds of the youth and their families
• Be organized, attentive to detail, and have good follow through skills

Pay Range: $37,000.00 - $40,000.00 If annualized
