Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiac Cath Lab

What you will do in this role:
  • Must be able to prioritize work and duties well and must work well under stressful situations.
  • Must demonstrate good communication and customer service skills with a variety of patients, physicians, and other health care providers both internal and external to the organization, and must make accurate clinical decisions and judgments quickly.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in understanding and calculating medication dosages, and demonstrate thorough knowledge of the side effects and hazards of various pharmacologic agents administered.
  • Patient Assessment and Documentation of Patient Status Throughout
  • Procedures: Oversees assessment and recording of patient status upon arrival to suite and throughout procedures.

Education:
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. BSN is required.

What qualifications will you need:
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Texas
  • 2+ years of experience working with cardiac patients (i.e. Telemetry area, C.C.U.), and/or in a critical care setting (Emergency Department, Surgical/Medical Intensive Care)
  • Previous experience in a Cath Lab performing diagnostic and interventional procedures is preferred
  • Bilingual communication abilities are preferred
  • AmericanRed Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS)and Certification
  • AmericanRed Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS orACLS) and Certification
