Job Duties
Function in the OR as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse. Operative procedures include: CABG, Cononary revascularization, DOR procedure, Hickman/Groshong/Portacath insertion, mediastinoscopy, pacemaker implantation, stent insertion, conscious sedation, cardiac-minimally invasive procedure, cardiovascular procedures, ENT procedures, endoscopic procedures, gastrointestinal procedures, labor and delivery, neurosurgery procedures, OB-GYN procedures, oncologic procedures, ophthalmology procedures, oral procedures, orthopedic procedures, PACU, pediatric procedures, plastics procedures, thoracic procedures, trauma, urology and vascular operative procedures; admin of blood and blood products; CVP insertion-jugular/subclavian; insertion of A-lines; Insertion of Swan-Ganz; drawing blood from central line; drawing venous blood; starting IVs with angiocath.
