Qualifications: (partial list)

• A minimum of one year of long-term care experience is preferred.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must be currently licensed by and in good standing with the State of Alabama.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures and laws, regulations governing long-term care.
• Must demonstrate positive attitude toward the elderly.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English in an understandable, legible manner.

As a Station RN with our facility typical task include but not limited to monitoring resident's conditions for response to treatment and/or need for changes in treatment; ascertains documentation of pertinent related information. Make rounds with attending physicians, reports pertinent resident information, consults with physicians/consultants in providing care, treatment, diagnostic services. Ascertain that required resident assessments and related documentation are completed according to facility policies. Monitor effectiveness of plan and makes recommendations for changes/revisions. Assist with admission and discharge procedures, ascertain that related required information is completed/documented according to facility policies. Promote resident rights.
