What you will do

This position will provide regulatory compliance support. The primary responsibility of this role is to work as part of a collaborative team to ensure our network is aligned with regulatory standards and, to achieve compliance in a timely manner, to proactively advise the organization of changes to standards, to coordinate with regulatory agencies and to manage regulatory records.

How you will do it

  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable standards and agency requirements (UL, FCC, CE, etc.).
  • Work with product/service teams to determine and interpret applicable standards.
  • Notify the teams of standard changes, emerging regulations, expiring certifications and impact to specific product/service lines, allowing time for necessary updates to maintain certification status.
  • Working through appropriate agencies, obtain the correct approvals and listings for our products/services and ensure it continues to meet those requirements.
  • Advise other teams on technical file requirements
  • Review technical file documentation for completeness prior to any release.
  • Initiate, coordinate and conduct training for engineering staff to build a broader knowledge base and understanding of agency compliance/standards issues.
  • Review product/service requirements for inclusion of appropriate standards and regulations.
  • Review product/service literature to ensure agency listings are properly reflected.
  • Provide product/service certification documentation as requested.
  • Mentor, coach and provide technical assistance to other engineers as the need arises.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical capacity (ME, EE, or another equivalent technical field).
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in an Engineering capacity, with immersive involvement with regulatory & compliance aspects.
  • Experience interacting with product safety and governmental agencies, navigating certification processes and managing certifications and technical file records.
  • Knowledge of NORS, DIRS, Intrado, PCAP testing, FCC requirements and compliance testing.
  • Familiarity with EMC and radio requirements, standards and compliance test facilities / methods.
  • Ability to define, plan and promote certification and compliance solutions for complex projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English language.
  • Ability to mentor and coach others in the organization as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task extensively and work effectively with minimal supervision or under general direction.
  • Ability to work independently to determine approaches and solutions to problems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
