Job description
Provides personal care, basic nursing care, and rehabilitation interventions to patients assigned to the unit, under the direct supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation. Incumbents are expected to perform all selected procedures for the Nursing Assistant II, as authorized by the Division of Facility Services. Participates in therapeutic treatment planning and therapy meetings as needed. Rehabilitation is a unique environment, and it is the expectation that this position will enhance, encourage and provide rehabilitation through all aspects of the patient stay.
Education, Licensure, Experience, and Other Requirements:
- High school graduate or GED
- Completion of an approved Nurse Assistant II course approved by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Nursing Assistant II - Current listing with the NC Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant II.
- Nursing Assistant I - Current listing with the NC Division of Facility Services Registry as a Nursing Assistant I.
- North Carolina Driver's License (NCDL) - Current and meets requirements to drive hospital-owned vehicles.
- BCLS Certification within 3 months of hire. Recertification required every 2 years.
- Pass FIM credentialing certification within 3 months of hire. Recertification required every 2 years.
